On Saturday, September 13, the Buckwheat Festival returns for a new edition centered on taste, sharing, and artisanal know-how. In a rustic and authentic setting, young and old alike are invited to discover all the richness of this emblematic Breton plant through a festive day mixing cooking demonstrations, hands-on workshops, contests, tours, and encounters.

Designed as an annual gathering, this day celebrates the links between agriculture, food, and local traditions around buckwheat and apples. A wonderful opportunity to (re)discover buckwheat from a new angle, in a warm, welcoming, and committed atmosphere. 

BEST CRÊPE-MAKER CONTEST
FOR PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS

On September 13, 2025, for the Fête du Sarrasin (Buckwheat Festival), Ferme Breizh Café pays tribute to this rustic, tasty seed that is the heartbeat of Brittany. For the occasion, two crepe-making competitions will spice up the day: one reserved for professionals, the other open to passionate amateurs.

The goal? To celebrate buckwheat in all its forms, combining expertise, creativity and deliciousness. In the morning, professional crepe-makers will take to the field. In the afternoon, it's up to everyday cooks to rise to the challenge. Each event will bring together up to 8 candidates, selected on the basis of a dossier, who will have to sublimate buckwheat flour through carefully crafted, tasty creations. The competition will take place under the watchful eye of a select panel of judges: chefs, culinary journalists, gourmets and other lovers of the Breton product and professionals in the industry.

Pastry texture, technical skills, cooking, dressing, taste of course, but also the eloquence to defend one's dish: everything will count. To ensure that the candidates can give their very best, Ferme Breizh Café is working with top-quality partners: Krampouz will be providing its emblematic billigs.
